Come along and join us at Pickering Showground for a great weekend filled with Fun & Entertainment - we have a fantastic weekend planned including:
Daytime Entertainment including 1940’s Singers & Dancers, Vintage Hair & Beauty Parlour, Best Dressed Competition, Afternoon Tea Dance, Military & Vintage Trade Stands, WWII Re-enactment Battles, Living History Displays, Evening ‘Big Band’ Dances, Onsite Camping, Hot Food, Churchill Bar, and much more...
There will be LIVE performances from Pete Jones, Cherie Lawrence, Lucy Lane, Micky Ramsbottom & The Alka Seltzer Sisters and 1940's DJ - Turn Back Time
Come along on Saturday afternoon and join in our Afternoon ‘Tea’ Dance & Best Dressed Competition
Come along to our Vintage Photo Booth and have a photograph taken to capture the moment of long ago!!
Throughout the daytime on Saturday and Sunday we will take you back to World War 2. See how British, Soviet, US, German and Resistance fighters lived, trained and fought in realistic living history camps and thrilling battle re-enactments. Firing demonstrations, vehicle runs and tactical displays in the battlefield and spectacular re-enactments will take place each day.

Evening 'Big Band' Dances
Friday 16th October & Saturday 17th October
‘The Mike Brown’ Big Band & 1940’s DJ will again be performing for 2 Fantastic evenings of great music and dancing!!
The dance hall this year will again be heated and draped, with 2 x licensed bars and have a café facility selling hot food.
Tickets are £15 per person
Onsite Camping / Caravanning
Don’t miss out on any of the fun and action by camping onsite with us!!
Camping is £45 for any 3 consecutive nights (or part of) with additional nights available at £15 per unit. Prices include 2 adults & 2 children per unit, additional adults are £5 and additional children £3 per stay.
Camping is available for tents, caravans & motorhomes. Basic facilities will be available on site including toilets, fresh water and elsan points. Please Note - As this is a temporary camping area just for the event we are unable to offer an electric hook up.

Ample Car Parking will be available at the Showground with a Shuttle Bus service from the Showground to Eastgate Car Park operating throughout the weekend
Buses will run between 8am and 8pm on Friday and Saturday and between 8am and 6pm on Sunday. Car parking is £8 per car and there is a £1.00 charge for the shuttle bus to Pickering.
All Allied & Civilian Re-enactment groups and Living History Display Groups are welcome to display/exhibit on the showground but need to be booked in. We kindly request that NO Black ‘Allgemeine SS’ uniforms are worn.
Coach Parking is available on the Showground for those attending the Pickering Wartime & 1940s Weekend at the Showground, but spaces are limited and need to be booked in advance.
Coach parking is FREE for coach parties attending events at the showground.
Well behaved dogs are welcome at the event as long as they are kept on a lead at all times.
